It is not a secret, I pay for convenience. I have a gal clean my house. I have a college student nannying for us. I buy Schwans. And I thought I would let the school make my kid’s lunch for me everyday.
Wrong. Boo has decided he wants to pick depending on what’s at the menu at school. Great. Just great. So, what is going to give me a convenience fix…in comes the Lunchables.
Yes, yes, I am that mother. I feed my kid processed meat and cheese for lunch. And I don’t feel bad. I have been in a turkey
slaughter processing facility recently and saw the stuff they make Lunchables meat from. It is real meat. Just all the little tiny pieces left once you have used the big pieces. Then they press it back together.
But don’t worry, I make sure he has fruits and/or vegetables in his lunch.
Yeah, I send fruit cups. I try to buy the kind with no sugar added at least. Remember, convenience is my game.
So, on Tuesday I started to feel a bit guilty for my lack of variety in my poor Boo’s lunch. So I tweeted my dilemma. I am a tweeter, I can’t help it.
And I got some pretty good ideas back.
@mycrazybusylife tweeted We’ll do wraps or homemade lunchables. The youngest even likes to take Chicken Nuggets that I heat in the AM.
But it was @mttsm who saved my day. She tweeted yogurt and muffins. Dry cereal and buy milk. Cheese roll up.
