It is county fair season and with that come tractor pulls. Pedal tractor pulls to be exact. Being the good farm mom that I am, I have never had my kids participate in one. So, this year, I decided it was time to put their pedaling skills to the test.
We started by weighing in. Princess weighed in at 42 pounds so she was in the 40-55 pound class while Boo weighed in at 56 pounds. Which made me nervous since he would be in the 56-70 pound class. He is only 6! Be sure to notice the difference in weights being used between Princess’s pull and Boo’s pull. Remember this is one class to the next for weight.
But they both did great even being the light weights in their classes.
Princess was up first. She chose a tractor that made Papaw happy. A red International.
She had fun and pulled it over 22 feet. And then got a ribbon from the queen.
And then we had to wait for about another 45 minutes for Boo to go. He was real happy about that!
He picked a red tractor that immediately wasn’t going to work because the seat was broken.
So, we swapped it out for a black John Deere.
He almost had a full pull. He had one more line to cross. He too got a ribbon but had hurt his knee so had a few tears after his awesome pull!! Great fun, and we will be back next year.
