I love the seasons. Football Season. Basketball Season. Soccer Season. Swimming Season. All the seasons. With every sports season comes specific sports food. And Game-Day Fan Fare, the latest book from Gooseberry Patch, is the perfect book for your favorite season.
Yesterday, you got introduced to the Ooey-Gooey Popcorn that I am addicted to now.
I also noticed while flipping through the cookbook that my 3-Cheese Baked Spaghetti is featured in the Mains & Sides chapter.
So, naturally I believe this is one of the best books Gooseberry Patch has ever published. The cookbook is chalk full of tons of recipes I want try. I have made one of the variations of Wings 4-Ways.
I have also made a version of crustless pizza. Chicago style with the sauce on top even!!
Want some more peaks at some great recipes?
On a girls night I had a piece of my gal pap Liz's Peanut Butter Fudge Pie she made for a recent girl's night in. Cris over at Goodeness Gracious made the perfect pizza for an early game. Then there are these Pepperoni Roll-Ups that Brandi made and highlighted over on the Country Cook. And looking for a bit more of a sweet treat for game time? Check out these Strawberry-Lemon Shortbread Bars over on a Well-Seasoned Life.
And there are even recipes similar to a few other recipes I already know I love, like S'mores Bars.

Love lil smokies that have simmered in BBQ sauce in the crock pot, then wrapped in crescent roll dough and baked till the dough is golden brown! ohhhh yummy! (even better if you take time to split the smokies open partway, insert a lil chunk of your favorite cheese (pepper jack works well) before rolling up in the dough!.
I will be sharing some recipes from above on pinterest and sharing on facebook.

Nachos!!!!
I love Black Bean Salsa with Rice Works Sesame Chips while watching the BENGALS!!! The salsa is also good as a topping on hot dogs or brats. I make it with extra black beans and black eyed peas.
Game day food for us is a simple one pot meal of a hearty soup. We vary from standard chili, white chicken chili or ham/navy bean soup. We then add in some amazing dips and chips. Favorite dip would be Pimento cheese. Easy to do and yum so good. Want to try that black bean salsa, would be a great addition to the fish tacos we make. Thanks!
