Hunk of Meat Monday: Pineapple Pork Burgers

This grilled pineapple pork burger recipe gives an Asian zip to a farm staple, pork burger.

  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 2 cloves fresh minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon seasoning salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 green onions finely chopped (can use a small onion in place of green)
  • 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger powder can use fresh minced ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin
  • Fresh pineapple for pineapple rings
  • Teriyaki sauce and green onions for garnish on the burgers
  • Buns


  1. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Refrigerate till ready to grill
  2. Shape into patties, then place on grill.
  3. Grill for 7-10 minutes over a 350 degree heat on each side. Flip only once.
  4. With five minutes of cooking time left, place pineapple on grill. Flip after a 2-3 minutes.
  5. Build burgers by placing burger on a bun, top with pineapple. Garnish with more teriyaki sauce and green onions.
